BATTLE YOUR DEMONS
DOCUMENTS
Here you will see the various stages of development, to starting up, prototyping, testing and more. It will also include any documents created for the development process.
ARTEFACT PROPOSAL DOCUMENT
Below you will find the different versions of my artefact proposal document, each version of the document has more information within them and the newer versions also have a revision history section to explain what was in the older version and what has been added in the newer versions.
The proposal explains my initial ideas, the research I conducted – both primary and secondary – which ultimately helped me to pick my final idea and speaks a little about problem solving talking a little about the concept and plan.
ARTEFACT PITCH VIDEO
My artefact pitch video was uploaded to YouTube as an unlisted video so only people with either the link or who click on it below can watch it. It explains what I did for my research and why I thought they helped me, going into a little more depth as to what my ideas were and some ideas I had for new mechanics and the overall art style of my game.
ARTEFACT PLANNING DOCUMENTATION
For my artefact planning documents, I made them up into 2 main documents, concept and feasibility which can be downloaded below. The concept explains my main concept for the game and looks at the core mechanics. I has my level designs, which I made first on paper then added then into Excel. You can find a simple script I made for a possible opening cutscene accompanied by a storyboard showing what it could look like and some simple concept art.
The feasibility document goes into depth about the possible risks that could occur, the likelihood vs the severity. I made a Gantt chart outlining the timeline for the project and a possible budget – the budget is more for after college if full development of the game starts more than anything. And I speak about how it could potentially be taken further after college if it enters development to turn it into a full-fledged game.
ARTEFACT PRODUCTION
Below you can find the files for my artefact production assignment, which include links to the compiled version of my game, the uncompiled version for Unreal Engine 4 which contains everything I used to make the game and the dev log which goes into depth about how I put the game together.
The dev log goes into everything from how I made or acquired my assets with reference links, how I made the mechanics in the game which include some ne wones I didn’t have in my first year game and much more.
